CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Adam Abdi

Adam Abdi founded Abdi Ralston, LLC with the intention of creating a dynamic, new staffing and consulting firm, dedicated to providing top talent to the public and private sector. He brings a firm understanding of the various fields that encompass D.C. business. He has more than 15 years of experience working with federal and state government agencies, Congress, private industries, and non-profits.

Adam’s professional experience ranges from business development at a private research firm, to work with:

  • U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)

  • U.S Department of Transportation (DOT)

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • U.S. Department of State (DOS)

  • U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)

  • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

He has worked on behalf of the Federal Government in Washington D.C., Germany, Thailand, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Madagascar, and Tanzania.

Prior to founding Abdi Ralston, he joined the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of the Secretary of Transportation. He worked to ensure that small businesses have an opportunity to compete and be selected for an equitable amount of the agency's contracting and subcontracting dollars. His responsibilities focused on issues concerning economic development, and policies enacted to help create jobs and spur economic growth. He worked with congressional offices, chambers of commerce, and financial institutions to administer the policies of the White House, and execute projects nationwide.

Adam graduated with a B.A. from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs, and a J.D. from Western State University College of Law. He was born and raised in Washington DC, and has spent time living and working in East Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
